Large business customers
Power and Water provides electricity to around 150 large commercial and industrial customers across the Northern Territory. This includes community service providers such as hospitals, schools and universities; NT and Australian government agencies; and commercial businesses. We want to hear your ideas for how we can manage and invest in the network now and in the future.
We want to hear the voice of large business customers as we plan for our energy future, together.
Like smaller and medium sized businesses, our large customers depend on the reliability of the electricity network to support their production. They are also sensitive to increases in costs. To date, we have been engaging with our larger customers on our future plans through the Chamber of Commerce NT and our Future Networks Forums.
Business customers engagement forums registration
On 2 August 2022, Power and Water released our Draft Plan setting out our initial view on the expenditure, revenue and tariffs for the 2024-29 regulatory period for our regulated networks.
Our customers, large and small, are central to the development of our plans for the 2024-29 regulatory period and we are currently engaging with a broad range of customers and other stakeholders on topics of relevance and interest to them. Our business customers are an important part of this engagement and in providing us with feedback on our proposed future direction and plans.
As part of the process of ongoing engagement, Power and Water will be holding engagement forums for our business customers on 16 September 2022, building on the information we provided at the Chamber of Commerce breakfast on 5 August. These engagement sessions will focus on providing additional information on two key elements of our regulatory proposal we consider particularly relevant to business customers and on which we are seeking additional feedback – business customer preferences for revenue affecting the major customer class and proposed changes to our tariff structures impacting business customers.
The engagement sessions will be virtual to maximise the opportunity for participation and are scheduled as follows:
