Meter reads and billing periods impacted by COVID-19
Power and Water customers may notice a change in their invoices over the next few months as a result of delayed water meter readings.
The ongoing impacts of COVID-19 across the community has impacted our contracted meter reading services.
Domestic water meters are usually read every three months (89 - 93 days) and commercial meters are read monthly (29 - 31 days).
This means our customers might receive a higher or even lower than usual invoice because of the varied days of water use that has been recorded.
You can tell if your meter reading has been affected by checking page two of your bill to see how many days it covers.
We are working to resolve these challenges to return to standard meter readings for our customers over the coming months.
Power and Water will continue to support our customers facing financial hardship through our Stay Connected program.
