Safety notice for power connections
Under Regulation 5(3) of the Electricity Reform (Safety and Technical) Regulations , Power and Water Corporation will not connect power to an installation without a copy of a Certificate of Compliance (CoC) being provided.
A Certificate of Compliance (CoC) is a legal document issued by a Northern Territory licensed electrician to record the details of the electrical work they have performed, as required by the Electricity Reform Act 2000 and the Electricity Reform (Safety and Technical) Regulations 2000 .
The Northern Territory's Electricity Safety Regulator requires that all electrical work, including new installations, changes, additions, and fixes, must be recorded on a CoC in a way that follows the Electricity Reform (Safety and Technical) Regulations 2000 .
