Energising the future
Power and Water’s electricity grid is changing. This change is only set to accelerate with the Darwin-Katherine Electricity System Plan which sets out a pathway to reach a 50 per cent renewable energy target by 2030.
Change in our electricity grid is being driven by increasing consumer investment in customer energy resources such as rooftop solar, home batteries and electric vehicles. This new technology, combined with government policy and targets, is changing expectations from customers and industry stakeholders for our grid. We must prepare our distribution network to meet these changing customer needs.
