Power and Water is proud to support 10 Territory organisations that are working to make a difference to the lives of Territorians through our Community Grants program.
The community grants program focuses on supporting projects and initiatives in our community that will help shape the future of the Territory, care for and support Territorians, and uplift and create opportunities for Territorians.
‘Our customers and community are at the centre of everything we do and we are proud to be supporting a diverse range of activities that will give back to Territorians in meaningful ways,’ Power and Water Deputy CEO John Pease said.
2023 Community Grant recipients:
- Bluearth Foundation - Active Play Movement Program
- Top End Pride (NT) Incorporated – Darwin Pride Festival
- Council on the Aging (NT) Inc – Personal duress alarms
- Alawa Primary School – Alawa School farm
- Katherine Community Indoor Sports Centre – Centre upgrades and maintenance
- Karama Community Garden Incorporated - Smart Irrigation System
- The Nappy Collective – Nappy collection drive
- NT Writers Centre – Writers Festival poetry night in Alice Springs
- St John Ambulance NT – Automated External Defibrillators, volunteer training
- Good Dog AAI – Facility accessibility modifications
“We are excited to work with so many passionate Territorians and we are looking forward to supporting their initiatives throughout the year,’ said Mr Pease.
Applications for next year’s Community Grants Program will open in February 2024.
